How paying works (L402)

  1. Call a paid endpoint. You get 402 with WWW-Authenticate: L402 macaroon="…", invoice="…".
  2. Pay the Lightning invoice and keep the preimage.
  3. Retry with Authorization: L402 <macaroon>:<preimage>. The token works for that exact request for 24 hours.
